Live the ultimate safari experience in one of Dyreparken’s safari tents!

At Dyreparken, you have come to the right place for a unique glamping experience! We were proud to be given a chance to supply safari tents for this fantastic project. In 2019, we installed the first 19 safari tents, and the park expanded its accommodations with another 13 tents for the 2020 season.  The decision to use glamping tents was easy. “We wanted to invest in something that we hadn’t seen in Norway before, and we wanted something different to add to our accommodation portfolio. Our decision turned out to be a great success. We had a 99.7% occupancy rate during the peak season. What more could you wish for?”

The Safari camp consists of 32 safari tents and is situated a stone’s throw away from the zoo entrance. The Kristiansand zoo and amusement park is the most frequently visited attraction in Norway. It is completely different from other European zoos; at Dyreparken, the animals can wander around in wide-open spaces. Guests staying at Dyreparken in one of the unique safari tents experience the ultimate safari feel. They can literally dream away in a world of savannas, jungles and tundras. It is a unique and one-of-a-kind experience that guests will never forget!

For the 2021 season, Dyreparken has expanded their accommodations further with 10 Compact Safari tents, situated on the water. That brings the total number of tents up to 42!

A varied selection of safari tents: something for everyone

Dyreparken has chosen to provide a varied selection of safari tents. Guests can choose from the Safari tent Wood, Compact, XS, or the Safari Cottage. Moreover, our Outstanding Lodge has been converted into a reception area. The safari tents are fully furnished with a comfortable seating and dining area, a spacious terrace, and a fully equipped kitchen. Most of the tents are also equipped with a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. Guests can also opt for a cheaper option such as the XS or the Compact without a private bathroom. In short, there is something for everyone. And don’t forget the safari tents with a view of the lake: that’s what we call waking up in style!
