Demand for glamping continues to grow
The camping market has gone through some major changes in the past years. Staying at an accommodation is now more important than owning one. Guests more highly value convenience and flexibility and do not want to be tied to an expensive camper trailer, for example. This has made renting more popular, like camping itself, as shown by a study carried out by IPK International.
More and more often, people opt to go on holiday in their own country and countries like France, Belgium and Germany. Outstanding safari tents are mainly stationed at campgrounds in these countries. Furthermore, we have seen that more and more large parks and rental organisations like Vacanceselect, Eurocamp and Rent-a-tent are entering joint ventures and are shifting towards ‘glamping’ (glamorous camping). The image of campgrounds is changing as well: no more walking around with toilet paper rolls – now there are comfortable accommodations with private sanitary units, more privacy, space and above all: luxury.
Outstanding plays into this demand and offers safari tents and lodges fitted with all modern conveniences. A complete holiday home in the middle of nature. And because people now book more ‘last minute’ trips and go on short holidays several times a year, renting a fully furnished safari tent has become more and more appealing.
